In honor of Memorial Day, I just had to write about these two.  Heather and Corey are nothing short of AMAZING!  Their wedding easily makes my top 3 for our awesome 2013 wedding season.  I met Heather only 3 weeks before her wedding.  With her fiance’s career in the United States Air Force, new orders were taking him to the west coast so the typical year planning process was cut quite short.  I’m not sure how she pulled it off, but everything was absolutely beautiful.

Heather is absolutely stunning and Corey is quite handsome himself…their classic and elegant vision was set perfectly in place at Hotel DuPont in Delaware.  If 3 weeks wasn’t enough pressure, Corey would be arriving only days before their wedding so everything was in Heather’s hands.  No one that I have ever worked with has ever handled that kind of pressure with such grace.  We met them at the hotel in the morning and planned for a private first reveal that was so heartwarming it could have been straight out of a movie.

Their love story began in Seoul and what a more perfect wedding gift than cufflinks with a map of where it all began 🙂  I am a sucker for a love story, so I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t wiping tears behind my lens.  The hotel itself is an amazing venue and we love working their.  The bridal party was waiting in the lobby for us where they had a lot of fun playing to our cameras.

We used off camera umbrella lighting for some dramatic images, and had a happy accident in the elevator 🙂  Heather and Corey both had an amazing appreciation for photography and were willing to go wherever our creative brains took them.  We are beyond thrilled with their photographs and couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work alongside.

All of their guests were beyond thrilled to celebrate the beginning of their new life together as a married couple.  The fun started as soon as the doors opened and they were introduced for the first time as Mr. & Mrs.  Even if you never met these two, being around them for a minute you could feel how powerful their love for each other is.  Through good and bad, thick and thin, relocations, long distance love… theirs is a the forever kind of love.
